There are plenty of lodging options, local motels, Bed and Breakfasts, and hotels. The end of July beginning of August is perhaps the best time of year on the Adirondack Coast. Humidity is generally low, temperatures are up, the water is warm and there are plenty of outdoor activities. Rafting, hiking any of the 46 peaks, fishing, camping, kayaking, canoeing, board paddling, wind surfing and so much more. The local Chamber of commerce has information that will answer your questions at GO ADIRONDACK .

Are you a foodie? Plattsburgh and the entire Adirondack Coast have great restaurants waiting for you to discover. With several regional college culinary programs the number of trained chefs and cooks is staggering. But hey this is the laid back Adirondack Coast so finding these culinary magicians may take some hunting and perhaps inside, local information. Many people that decide to live in this pristine part of NY do not do it for big city fame or oodles of money. They choose to enjoy life in a laid-back life style that provides time for quality of life activities such as skiing, fishing, camping, hiking, outdoor fun, winter carnivals and most importantly the pursuit of what they love. Come, explore our region and find the best food of the Adirondack Coast for yourself. Some will be serving food at the Plattsburgh Brewfest.
