Annual Iroquois Indian Festival:
Labor Day Weekend from 10am to 5pm

Our annual Festival centers on the celebration of Iroquois creativity and self-expression.

Held every Labor Day weekend, The Iroquois Indian Museum hosts an all Iroquois Indian Art Market open to Iroquois artists by special invitation only. Both traditional and contemporary arts are showcased within the Art Market. With this much talent in one place, visitors are assured of finding a treasure to take home.

The Sky Dancers from the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario perform traditional Iroquois social dances. They often invite the public out onto the dance floor to participate in their tradition.

The Children's area features arts and crafts activities including beadwork and cornhusk doll making.

Visitors experience traditional Iroquois story telling.

Local wildlife rehabilitators are available to discuss wildlife conservation in our bioregion and present a variety of wild animals including birds of prey.

The Museum's archaeology department is in attendance to help identify archaeological finds and give demonstrations of flintknapping and other early technologies.
