Description:

From 46th annual 100 American Craftsmen Website:

100 American Craftsmen is now in its 4th decade of presenting fine, contemporary craft art. The show is juried meaning that the artisans are selected by a panel of qualified professionals--artisans, college instructors, gallery owners, and curators--who determine that artisans invited to 100 American Craftsmen meet high standards of quality, originality, artistry, and design. The event was started by craft artisans along with Kenan Center volunteers, and has remained one of the top regional shows dedicated to the "art of craft."

100 American Craftsmen is held on the grounds of the former residence of William R. Kenan, Jr., an engineer, scientist, businessman, and philanthropist. One of Lockport's many prestigious Victorian-era homes, the Kenan house now serves as a year-round gallery, while its two carriage houses are used for a performing arts theater and Montessori Preschool. The campus also includes the Arena, where the 100 American Craftsmen event takes place, and beautiful gardens that are a prime spot for summer weddings.
