The inaugural edition of CONTEXT New York will take place March 3-6, 2016, at the fair's Presenting Sponsor and venue Pier 36, located on the East River at 299 South Street. The Fair will kick-off with a VIP Private Preview for collectors, designers, museum professionals, curators and members of the press, offering the first opportunity to acquire the finest works of contemporary art on Thursday, March 3 from 11AM-3PM before the fair opens to the general public.

Like its hugely successful sister fair, CONTEXT Art Miami, which launched during Miami Art Week in 2012, CONTEXT New York's open atmosphere will create meaningful dialogue between collectors, participating galleries, and artists. CONTEXT New York will provide the ultimate platform for both the veteran and unseasoned collector to enjoy and acquire mid-career, emergent and cutting-edge talent by sixty participating emerging and established galleries during one of the most important weeks for contemporary art in New York City.

CONTEXT NY will utilize Pier 36's entire heated 70,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art exhibition hall, VIP mezzanine, and 15,000 square-foot outdoor waterfront deck with views of the East River, Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, Statue of Liberty, and city skyline. Situated on FDR Drive with convenient access to the subway, a dedicated drop-off area and 40,000 square feet of dedicated on-site parking space, Pier 36 provides the perfect setting and access for attendees to enjoy CONTEXT New York.
